How much do you think the sheep would mind a rally cross track in your pasture?

On a scale of “baa... ” to no baa, I think it probably rates about “BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!”

As a follow up question, do y'all ever "baaa" back at the sheep? I moo at cows whenever the opportunity presents, but I can't say that I've ever baaa'd at a sheep.

I have, and sometimes still do. The problem is that sheep are extremely vocal animals and if you rile them up a “baa-storm” can ensue. You cannot win a baa-fight with a sheep, they are very argumentative.

it can be difficult to communicate over them if they are in a loud mood. Th ey have the ability to put out some pretty serious decibels, like yell at the person standing 5-feet away from you to be heard loud.

Seems like not a great evolutionary trait.

Sheep have been domesticated for close to 12,000 years. The breeds that are commonly kept as livestock have been free of evolutionary pressure for a very long time. That makes them the oldest domestic livestock. Dogs have been living with humans longer, but sheep were there at the start of agriculture.
